Reusing and repurposing an existing building.
The proposal is creative reuse of an existing three storey building built with a raised ground floor to accommodate the sloping site achieved via new extensions, over cladding and remodelling of the internal layout.
Zinc cladding and enlarged windows are proposed on the building extension to tie in with new nearby developments such as 60 Victoria Street.
Proposed red bricks are used on the building extension to keep with the style of the existing building and the street context character.
Grey brick is proposed on the rear elevation extension to make it aperient that this is a new element which also ties in with the grey tone of the proposed zinc cladding.
All existing windows and doors to be replaced with the new dark grey matching the zinc cladding.
