Luxury refurbished dwellings
The existing seven storey high building was erected in early 1980’s as purpose built offices. The dominance of brickwork and proportions of openings however give its elevations a residential, rather than commercial character.
Our proposal utilises as much of the existing layout of the building as possible and maintains the existing double height communal entrance, staircores, and plant room areas. Communal corridor connects the existing staircores at each floor. Communal facilities are located at the basement level, alongside car parking and secure cycle storage.
The structure of the existing building allowed to create 99 dwellings with good size open plan living/ dining/ kitchen areas and comfortable bedrooms. The existing projections and alcoves have been utilised to provide study areas.
