Mixed Use development served up on a plate.
Completed for Nando’s Chickenland, the development provides seven private residential units over a double height, ground floor restaurant on Lee High Road.
A terrace adjoining the restaurant overlooks the River Quaggy, which runs parallel to the site boundary. A risk of flooding from this watercourse necessitated a Flood Risk Assessment and consequently, demountable defences were designed into the structure to protect the residents in the event of a catastrophic London deluge, at the Planner’s request.
