An Electric Mixed Use scheme

Alan Camp Architects led the project from RIBA stages A-L. Through an excellent working relationship with the client Purelake New Homes the project was able to complete three months ahead of schedule.

Use of lightweight external cladding, developed on previous schemes with the same contractor, reduced the enclosure programme.

Due to the nature of the backland site, a large number of party wall awards,  particularly with the adjoining Grade II listed buildings, were required. In particular, the foundations needed to be designed to avoid the existing below ground structures and drainage. Temporary support was also installed to restrain the retained listed feature entrance archway during the demolition and construction period.

Particular care was required to achieve the building floor levels across three separate buildings as they are all accessed through a single access tower.
