Falcon Works Official Opening
A 93 unit affordable housing development for Hexagon Housing Association has been officially opened by local MP Simon Hughes. The Falcon Works scheme in Southwark, constructed by Osborne Homes, is arranged in five blocks ranging in scale from individual houses to four- and five-storey blocks of flats. The buildings are set around a series of communal landscaped courtyards incorporating a children's play area.
The design uses clean modern lines and a palette of durable materials – brick, zinc and brass – which will age gracefully. Roof mounted photovoltaic panels and solar thermal panels are used to provide renewable energy on site.
