A 366-unit residential and mixed-use scheme by Alan Camp Architects has been unanimously approved subject to a Section 106 agreement by the London Borough of Southwark's Planning Committee.
The development, for private developer Woodland Views includes 366 flats around landscaped courtyards, a mini-market, nursery, gymnasium, coffee shop and community hall, all on the site of the former Quebec Way Industrial Estate.
The development's form and landscaping, designed in collaboration with Outerspace Landscape Architecture, responds to and complements the adjoining Russia Dock Woodland, a protected Site of Special Scientific Interest.
Proposed LZC technologies include gas district heating/CHP and solar photovoltaics. Construction is currently programmed to commence in 2013.
