New contemporary mews houses for Peckham
Eight new mews houses in Peckham have just been completed for developer Wake Properties. The scheme in Oglander Road was designed for a restricted backland site and a MMC was chosen to reduce access problems during construction. Through the use of MMC techniques, the development has been built to achieve high thermal and air tightness performance standards.
“The concept behind the design was to create a development of mews houses which would not only relate to the surrounding area but also have its own contemporary identity,” says John Everett, project architect for Alan Camp Architects.
