Go-ahead for West Norwood affordable homes
Planning consent has been given for thirty five new affordable flats and duplexes in West Norwood. The new £8.3 million development in Canterbury Grove for housing association L&Q will include 24 two-bedroom apartments, as well as one-bedroom apartments and two- and three-bedroom duplexes.
The development will meet Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, the system for measuring the sustainability of new housing with ten per cent of it’s energy requirements being produced on site. Contractor Inspace will build the new housing which is set to be completed in November 2010.
