New affordable homes for Camberwell
This £4.5 million development, housing 42 apartments for social rent, has been built by Rydon Construction on the site of a former warehouse in Brisbane Street, London SE5.
Work on the development – which is made up of one-, two- and three-bedroom flats – began in May 2008 and has just finished, some six weeks ahead of schedule.
“Our aim was to design a scheme which would contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the area, complement the existing streetscape and enliven the main street façade,” says project architect Gurj Bahra.
