Go-ahead for London and Quadrant homes
Planning permission has been given for twenty six new affordable homes by housing association L&Q, in St Mary’s Road, Peckham, London SE15. Designed by Alan Camp Architects, the new development of affordable homes for rent will create eight one-bed, twelve two-bed, three three-bed and three four-bed homes. They will include eight duplex apartments and three disabled access units.
Family homes with private gardens are on the ground floor and duplex units are on the upper floors with balconies overlooking the courtyard. The scheme incorporates a communal heating and hot water storage system and roof-mounted solar thermal panels which provide sustainable energy. Housebuilder Durkan Homes is set to start work on the new homes in the summer.
