Amelia Street receives planning approval

Amelia Street consists of 55 units over 2 to seven storey, carefully arranged on the site to reduce overshadowing and overlooking neighbouring properties.

The proposal mediates between the 9 storey residential development to the west of the site and the variety of 3, 4 and 5 storey buildings on Walworth Road by stepping down from 6 to 4 storeys.

The proposal is set back on the north east corner of the site to respect the listed building to the north and provide some public space. Cores A,B and C are accessible from internal courtyard via pedestrian link from the Walworth Road. The internal courtyard is accessed also from Amelia Street 

All of the flats are designed to have dual aspect and feature large private balconies or terraces. An active streetscape is proposed with retail entrances located along Walworth Road.
