Planning approval for Grass WarrenPublished Thursday, 28th February 2013
Last night East Herts Council approved the scheme for 8 dwellings comprising of 3 No. two bed bungalows, 4 No. three bed semi-detached houses and a 4 bed detached house. One councillor commended the scheme for gaining the support of the parish council.
Riversmead’s executive director Paul Huckstep said: “We are extremely pleased the proposed development of eight new homes in Tewin has been granted planning permission. This decision marks many months of working together with Tewin Parish Council to create a housing solution that is not only sensitive to the needs of the village, but also addresses the chronic shortage of affordable housing in our villages and across the East Herts district.
“The homes, which comprise two, three and four bed properties for affordable rent, shared ownership and outright sale, will give a variety of choice to residents in different circumstances who want to embrace village life. It is important that we are part of the solution to sustain our villages and continue to provide homes for local people. We look forward to continuing our work with the parish council as the building work progresses.”
